You’re going to see a lot of forbearance on different loans. That doesn’t mean the payment’s forgiven. It means the monthly payment is added onto the loan. You will pay for it later with an extra month of mortgage. If you are refinancing right now, does it mean you lose these options? No, it does not. The probability that their loan will be bought by Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac is 95%. They are the only entities buying loans right now.

Look at the news that came out. The government’s buying $200 billion worth of mortgages, there is going to be a lot of different programs coming.
